A VR panorama image is made up of many individual scene (images) digitally stitched together. VR panoramas give viewers greater sense of being at the actual scene when delivered and viewed over the web. VR images convey much more information on the subject or event, in relation to everything around it. VR panorama image is typically captured to allow 360 degree view in spherical or cylindrical view format. Spherical 360VR image capture the full spherical view of the environment: 360 degrees around and 180 degrees up and down. A 360VR spherical panorama of an outdoor scene allows a viewer 360 degree around the scene and 180 degree towards the sky and the floor below the camera equipment. Cylindrical 360VR image offers limited view panorama: 360 degree around and limited tilt angles. Depending on a scene and panorama applications, some cylindrical VR panorama images are processed with a limited field of view (fov), ie 120 degree or less.
